This kickstand was designed and manufactured in-house to remain cost effective utilizing CNC and 3D printing for seamless production and installation. From CAD it was 3D printed and tested until we got the desired lean angle, position, feel and aesthetics. The main body was a 2 opp CNC part and there were water-jet cut in-house. The more complex geometry of the foot was 3D printed out of a carbon fiber based filament and inlaid with continuous strands of carbon fiber for rigidity. Most of the other parts required were off the shelf to save cost and time. Once seven sets were produced, they had to be sent to Walt who would weld them to the bike. To ensure accuracy we 3D printed Jigs to locate the kickstand on the bike.
